Commonly known as BeastKong, occasionally known as Stoo, and Stuart Kurth which is why I named this site as such. I’ve been climbing and falling off rocks for thirteen years. For a long time my main passion has been bouldering, and that has taken me overseas, as well as all around New Zealand looking for awesome lines. During the odd fit of peculiarity I’ll climb sport or trad, and I’ve been known to enter a few competitions. My other diversions, writing, photography and film making, have led me to create a blog about what I do, and that has mutated into this site. The aim is to cover all mediums of climbing in NZ: coaching, rad images and footage, words and beta, with the odd scathing gear review thrown in for good measure.
